New Orleans Super Bowl

New Orleans is the host to Super Bowl 47 in 2013. Super Bowl week is smack in the middle of two weeks of Mardi Gras which will create a great party atmosphere for celebration. This year will be the 7th time that the game is being played at the Superdome, and 1st time since it changed names to Mercedes-Benz. The Super Bowl is annual game played between the two NFL teams that win their conference championship game which pins the AFC vs NFC in the final. This year several teams look like contenders including the defending champion NY Giants, 49ers, Raiders and possibly the Packers with their addition of  running back Cedric Benson from the Bengals.

Hotels for the game in New Orleans are sold out. You can keep checking sites like Hotels.com or Expedia.com but the chances of finding a room are near impossible. You will have to settle with booking hotels through third party websites that specialize in special events. Prices will be high since not only is the city accommodating Football fans, they are also housing many visitors for Mardi Gras.
Tickets to the game are on sale with prices starting at $2,000. If you choose to wait until December or January to purchase tickets you will be paying about 10% more. The best prices come the day of the game, although the inventory is depleted and the availability is not great.

See you in New Orleans!
